Following the letter sent by FIFA on the 28th of June where FIFA informed MFA that the parameters system goes against FIFA principles and must be removed (http://maltafpa.com/new-article.php?id=173), on the 20th of December FIFA again reiterated that the principles of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players regarding contractual stability must be considered at national level (cf. art. 1 par. 3b of the aforementioned Regulations; see also FIFA Circular letter no. 1064) and hence this archaic system must be abolished.

In view of the above MFA must provide FIFA by not later than the 10th of January 2020 with an update about the matter and explain why the Parameters System was not yet removed from the national regulations.
