This is an extremely challenging time for the world due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Local football obviously faces its own challenges too. MFPA has been constantly in contact with its members by circulating advice and recommendations for the past weeks, collecting data through online surveys and conducting video-conference calls with its delegates.
In mid-March all clubs suspended training to reduce the spread of the virus. Last week MFPA facilitated access to mental health professionals by providing its members the possibility to set-up free online sessions with Sports Psychologist Dr. Adele Muscat.
This week MFPA is launching a 7-day individual training programme in collaboration with Pro Licence Coach Mr. Paul Zammit and Strength and Conditioning Coach Mr. Karl Attard. Members can keep their fitness level by doing this training program at home.
MFPA's top priority at this point in time is the health and well-being of the players while keep working alongside clubs and the federation to find unified solutions to the problems that lie ahead.
