MFPA’s mission to protect its members doesn’t cease when the player’s football career comes to an end. Since its inception, the Maltese Players’ Association has promoted dual career pathways and provided various opportunities for members to further their education.

In view of this, it is with great pleasure that we announce a new partnership with MB Consult. The Memorandum of Understanding paves the way for new, previously inaccessible opportunities for players who seek to acquire new skills.

This exciting partnership comes on the heel of a survey launched earlier this year by MFPA. The survey’s aim was to gauge from members the level of interest in further education, in which fields, and what the current obstacles are. The results were overwhelmingly positive, with many players showing a hunger for acquiring more skills in various sectors, from sports to business, and also trades.

The data provided will be the main source of inspiration for MFPA’s strategic plan to further develop its Life After Football programmes. Other initiatives and projects are already underway and will be rolled out in the coming months.
