The Malta Football Players Association (MFPA) was formally established on 26th May 2011. The MFPA has submitted its application to become a member organisation of the Malta Football Association (MFA). In an application sent to the MFA Secretary General, the Association expressed its intent to also be part of the MFA structures with the intent of complimenting its role of representative local footballers.

The Association has also established its first Committee composed as follows:

In the coming days the Association shall be publishing its current agenda of initiatives for the coming months.
