The executive committee of the MFPA yesterday met with the current acting committee of the Marsaxlokk FC. Earlier this month Marsaxlokk FC players asked the MFPA to intervene because of the situation within the club. MFPA was informed that in a few days the club President, cashier, secretary and PRO resigned. The first team coach resigned as well and there is no medical staff present at the training sessions and the official games. The players have not received their salaries for the past months. During a very cordial meeting, both parties found common grounds for the way forward. The MFPA presented an action plan with clear proposals to the acting committee. The aim of this plan is to help both the players and the Club. MFPA awaits a reply by the end of the week.
